Dear Community Members, Friends, and Well-Wishers,
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that Bindas Toli – We The Helping Hands officially announces the cancellation of our Grand Teej Celebration, originally scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Pearl Banquet Hall, Hayward, CA.
In light of the recent catastrophic flash floods and landslides in Nepal—triggered by severe glacial collapses along the Trishuli and Bhote Koshi river corridors—our motherland is facing profound tragedy, loss of life, and widespread destruction. Many families have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods, and hundreds remain missing.
During this heartbreaking time, hosting a grand festive celebration does not align with the spirit of our community. Out of respect for the victims, their grieving families, and everyone affected by this calamity in Nepal, we believe the most appropriate and respectful decision is to stand in solidarity, prayer, and mourning.
Full Refunds for Ticket Holders
All ticket purchases will be fully refunded. Details on the refund timeline will be communicated directly to ticket holders via email and social media within 1–2 weeks or sooner.
Support Relief Efforts in Nepal
For those wishing to help, we strongly encourage donating directly through the official Government of Nepal relief funds. These direct channels ensure resources reach where they are most urgently needed, without local processing delays.
We extend our deepest condolences, prayers, and heartfelt sympathies to all families grieving the loss of their loved ones in Nepal. Thank you for your understanding, love, and unwavering support.

Bindas Toli – We The Helping Hands is a community-powered 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on one simple belief: we are stronger when we stand together, and every helping hand can create a lasting impact. The organization was formally established as a California nonprofit public benefit corporation in 2016.
What started with a group of people coming together to help others has grown into a movement of volunteers, families, friends, and community members dedicated to turning compassion into action. From supporting families and children through education and essential assistance, to responding to humanitarian crises and disasters, promoting Nepali culture and community connection, and creating opportunities for people to give back, Bindas Toli strives to be there when help is needed most.
We believe that meaningful change does not always require extraordinary resources—it begins with ordinary people willing to care, contribute, and take action. Our mission is to connect people, empower communities, provide help with dignity and transparency, and build a culture of giving that extends beyond borders.
